Reflections on ReSEED 7, October 26-28, 2018 Gail Cruise-Roberson, Emmy Howe, Ruth MendozaBy SEED Co-directors Gail Cruise-Roberson and Emmy Howe, and SEED Associate Director Ruth Mendoza.

ReSEED is a chance for seasoned SEED leaders to reconnect, refresh, retreat and reinvigorate in the company of other SEED folks. The most recent ReSEED, held October 26-28, 2018, came at an important time in our country, as many people have faced one of the most challenging periods in recent memory.

Pebbles Make The Mountain Stones in a pilePerhaps the greatest struggle I have in explaining SEED is accounting for why SEED works. Our current SEED staff are not nationally known personalities with the most news headlines, academic publications, or social media followers. Often times when we present one-off sessions at conferences or share what writing we do have, people respond with “That’s nice.” This is a striking contrast to what participants share with us during our seven-day New Leaders Week.
